Dr. Christine Günther has more than 20 years of experience as a licensed physician. She is specialized in clinical hematology and oncology with extensive experience in clinical stem cell transplantation, transplantation immunology and cellular therapy. She held different positions at the University Hospital and Community Hospital in Munich (Germany) as hematologist / oncologist. Prior to joining apceth, Dr. Günther worked for 6 years as qualified person, head of quality control and medical director at a public German stem cell and cord blood bank, working in the field of stem cell and tissue procurement, donor testing, characterization of cell products, and their application to the patient. She was especially involved in the clinical development and licensing of a cord blood product for the use in malignant diseases. In 2008 Dr. Günther joined apceth as the company’s managing director.

Prof. Dr. Ralf Huss joined the apceth management from Roche in October 2011, where he was the global head of the Therapeutic Cell Initiative and VP in Pharma Research & Early Development. There he was also involved in identifying tissue biomarker to stratify cancer patients as part of a global personalized healthcare strategy. Prof. Huss is a physician and surgical / molecular Pathologist with various international academic appointments in regenerative medicine. He has more than 20 years training and experience in immunology, transplantation biology and stem cell research and worked with the Nobel laureates Rolf Zinkernagel and E. Donnell Thomas. Prof. Huss has published more than hundred papers in this field and is a co-founder of apceth.

Mr. Helmut Jeggle is responsible for the life science initiatives at ATHOS Service GmbH, the family office of the Strüngmann brothers, founders of the generics company Hexal. From 2000 until 2007 Mr. Jeggle worked in the controlling-department at Hexal, lastly as the head of Business Planning & Analyses, Germany. Mr. Jeggle has a degree in business administration from the FH Neu-Ulm and earned his MBA from the Stuttgart Institute of Management and Technology (SIMT) during his time at Hexal. Mr. Jeggle joined apceth as a managing director next to Dr. Günther in 2009. He is a member of numerous supervisory boards.
